A friend posted a photo from our kitchen and me and my spouse are visible in the background. I’m not upset that they took the photo, but why did asking first not occur to them? Our home is shared and private, not automatically public content. I hate having to explain that, because I’m worried they’ll call me difficult for asking them to remove it. I think I’m going to send a concise request and say that future photos from our home need permission first. That feels reasonable, even if it’s awkward.
