Balancing a New Side Business with Financial Caution
Got my first paying customer for the small business I’ve been trying on the side. I’m happy about it, obviously, but it’s still one order. I don’t want to start treating it like reliable income and then make a stupid decision about my retail job, especially with household money involved. I’m thinking of keeping the business money separate and tracking orders, costs, repeat customers and actual profit for a few months before even considering a part-time trial. I want this to become real, but I need numbers before hope starts making decisions.
