Balancing Family Expectations During a Short Visit Home
Went to Warangal for a short visit with my child, thinking it would just be some family time before I came back to Hyderabad for work. Somehow everyone started giving me errands and arrangements as if I still live there and can be available for everything. They speak to me like I left only last week. The strange thing is, the place still feels comforting. I wanted my child to know where I came from, not to become the old version of myself again. I feel guilty even wanting the visit to stay small.
