Feeling Frustrated About Privacy Boundaries with Family
My mother opened my room door while I was on a personal call and asked who I was talking to. Nothing dramatic, but I’m twenty-eight—why am I explaining a phone call like I’ve been caught doing something illegal? I know they worry, and I’m not trying to make the house feel like a hotel. But I’m tired of every private moment becoming family information, especially with the marriage discussions already happening. I told her some calls are personal and shouldn’t be questioned immediately. Now even asking for a knock before entering feels like I’m making some big declaration. Privacy is not disrespect, yaar.
