Reconnecting with an Old Work Friend After Years Apart
An old friend from work messaged me after years of only occasional contact, and we met for coffee in a quiet café. We talked about the old days, family changes, and the ordinary routines that replaced seeing each other every day. It was good to see him, but we are not the same two men who left work together. I had forgotten how much of that friendship depended on daily contact. Still, it felt warm and genuine. We exchanged numbers again, so perhaps I’ll suggest another coffee instead of waiting for another few years.
