Got a much lower mark than I expected on my first-term assignment
Got a much lower mark than I expected on my first-term assignment. The feedback points out gaps I genuinely didn’t realise were visible, which is… humbling, I guess. Maybe everyone else understood the rules before I did. I waited until the deadline was too close to figure out that I was lost, so that part is on me. I haven’t told my family because they already worry about money, and I don’t really want to make one bad mark into a whole dramatic announcement. I can probably recover, but I don’t know if I should email the instructor now, go to office hours, find a study group, or just rebuild my entire week around this course. Contacting them feels like admitting I don’t know what I’m doing, even though obviously I don’t know what I’m doing yet. What if this is evidence I chose the wrong path?
