Personal Budget Strain Amid Unexpected Moving Expenses
The document fees, storage supplies and travel costs have eaten much more of my personal buffer than the monthly plan suggested. Nothing was frivolous, which is almost more annoying. The move is using boxes and time, yes, but also the little margin I thought I had. I dislike having to explain every small personal expense while the household costs keep expanding. I’m not asking for luxury. I want a bit of money that doesn’t already belong to the next relocation problem. We’ve agreed to keep a minimum household reserve and put a small personal buffer back in from the next pay cycle, and we’re postponing one nonessential purchase. Still feels strange that ordinary spending suddenly needs a committee meeting.
