Adjusting to Family Life After Time Away
My leave from Dubai got approved, and I was looking forward to going home. Then my wife explained that the children and relatives already have work and appointments on most weekdays. They are happy I am coming, but nobody can suddenly keep all their time free for me. I know they are not rejecting me. They have simply continued living while I was away, and actually I am proud they manage things well. Still, there is a small ugly feeling that I want them to need me more than they do. Maybe coming home now means joining the life they have built, not expecting the old one to be waiting.
