Improved Communication but Missing Affection in Relationship

The conversations with my spouse have genuinely improved since I finally said I felt distant. We’ve been making time to talk, which I’m glad about, but the affectionate part still hasn’t really come back. Most evenings disappear into work and household stuff, and I still miss being close. I don’t want to turn this into another massive relationship meeting or make it sound like their effort meant nothing. It just feels strange that talking is safer now while ordinary affection is still mostly absent. I’m not sure whether to mention that again or give it more time.
