Balancing caregiving duties from afar during medical appointments

Yesterday evening my wife called from Kerala. Amma needs another follow-up appointment in Kochi, and the relative who usually takes her cannot manage the next visit. I can arrange the money and make calls from Dubai, but my wife is the one left finding transport, fixing the appointment and managing everything there. I have been helping, but I am not carrying the part they can see. I should have asked earlier how often this was happening. We are going to speak with the nearby relatives and make a simple plan before the next visit. I hope asking for shared responsibility is not taken as refusing to help.
