Husband helps with school pickup and dinner easing evening chaos
I told my husband that school pickup and dinner were clashing, and he took over shopping and cleanup for the next three evenings. He even remembered the shopping without asking me what to buy, which honestly surprised me. The child’s evening routine became less chaotic and I got a proper little break instead of reaching bedtime completely finished. I know this is basic family work, not some heroic favour, but usually I have to notice everything and remind everyone. It felt nice that he saw the overload and adjusted himself. Maybe I don’t have to reach the breaking point before someone helps.
