Financial Stress Balancing Family Help and Household Needs
The balance looked fine until the loan debit and school expenses actually came out. Now what’s left has to cover rent, food, and the next payment, and a relative has asked for help with an appliance. My income isn’t fixed, so this isn’t really “extra” money just because it’s sitting there today. I hate that helping family makes me feel dependable, while protecting the household feels selfish. I’m going to explain it and offer less, or delay it, but the guilt is already here.
