Of course the one quiet part of my commute is the thing blocked off. Construction fencing now cuts off the footpath between my bus stop and home, so after an evening shift I get the longer, noisier route instead. It’s not a catastrophe, but that extra distance isn’t really the point. I was counting on those twenty quiet minutes to come down from work. Ordinary pedestrians are apparently expected to absorb every inconvenience, and if everyone keeps adapting, nobody has to fix anything. I found the municipal reporting channel and sent in the location, at least.
