Why am I checking my phone like a college student when nothing has even happened

Why am I checking my phone like a college student when nothing has even happened? One old college connection replied nicely to my LinkedIn message about a banking certification and then we kept chatting till late. She said I’m thoughtful, which is honestly enough to destroy my concentration apparently. Now I’m waiting for her messages like an idiot. At the same time my parents want a clear answer about meeting a match. I’m supposed to evaluate this properly, but my brain is already comparing someone I barely know with a few warm messages from someone familiar. She hasn’t even said anything romantic. Maybe she’s just being friendly and I’m making a whole situation out of normal attention. Still, if I was actually ready for marriage, would three nice messages unsettle me this much? I don’t want to unfairly proceed with the match while being distracted, but I also don’t want to throw away a safe path because someone made me feel noticed for one evening. Should I stop replying to her, tell my parents I need more time, or attend the meeting and see if this stupid feeling goes away?

Kya us old connection ne conversation khud bhi continue ki, ya polite reply ke baad tum hi zyada invest kar rahe ho? Abhi isse normal conversation hi samjho—exact romantic signal ke bina meaning mat do. Aur match meeting final commitment nahi, bas ek meeting hai; parents se limited extra time maangna reasonable lagta hai.
