A client asked me yesterday if I could wait another week for the balance
A client asked me yesterday if I could wait another week for the balance. I had already moved the money in my head for rent, internet and the new font licence, so I said okay before checking anything. This morning I opened the project folder to see if there was some small change they were waiting for. Nothing. Just the final files and my own note saying payment pending. The client is not even being rude, which makes it harder to be angry. I have two enquiries also, but neither has become work yet. I told my boyfriend about it and then felt stupid because he is also far away and cannot do anything from there. I keep saying next month will be steadier. Maybe it will. I am sitting with the invoice open, changing the due-date reminder again, while the kettle clicks off in the kitchen.
