How do you all manage annual insurance payments along with home loan EMI

How do you all manage annual insurance payments along with home loan EMI? This month both got debited within the same week and now the balance is uncomfortably low till salary, around 10 days. Groceries, travel, utilities etc are manageable but even a pending repair and money I had planned to send home will have to wait. The payments were not unexpected exactly, so I know I should have tracked it better. But why does one timing issue make you feel suddenly so financially stuck? My husband treats these as routine, but I’m the one checking what is left after every debit. Maybe separate account for annual expenses and monthly transfer into it? Or should we change the insurance payment date if possible? Not asking for exact budgeting lectures, just how others separate EMI, yearly payments and normal household spending without constantly checking the balance.

Separate annual-expense account mein har month thoda transfer karna makes sense. But does your husband also know the exact balance after these debits, or is this monitoring mostly falling on you? Predictable payment hai, but the mental load of being the household’s live balance tracker is not routine at all.
